New Work: Geri Halliwell Brand Film for the Dior Cruise 2025
At the end of May, BrightWolf Films’ Producer Simone Bett‘s mobile buzzed with a request from Pan Pan Productions, a Paris based company. They needed a Scottish production company to assist in capturing former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell’s involvement in The Dior Cruise 2025 Show at Drummond Castle on Monday 3rd June 2024. How could she say no?
Brand Film: Geri Halliwell Diary
The House of Dior had invited Geri Halliwell to celebrate their Dior Cruise 2025 Show in Perthshire. The brand film aimed to create a playful diary of Geri’s stay, exploring the ties between Dior and Scotland. It would capture her experiences at the legendary Gleneagles Hotel, her preparations, her attendance at Drummond Castle, and her reactions to the fashion post-show.
Film Crew
With only the Director of Photography, Ryan Blackwood, in place, Simone had to work fast, with just three days to assemble the rest of the team and pull together all the required logistics. Numerous calls were made to secure a crew with the necessary skills and experience, consisting of a cinematographer, gaffer, sound engineer, camera assistant, and a social media content creator. Working closely with the DOP, she ensured all the high-end cameras and lenses were booked for the video production.
Reflecting on the experience, Simone said, “Working with Geri was a joy – she’s a true professional, very down-to-earth, and fun throughout the filming. Partnering with creative director and documentary filmmaker Melinda Triana and her team was equally delightful. Their vision, combined with Dior’s, brought the commercial project to life wonderfully. Magnifique!
The French luxury fashion house, founded by Christian Dior, is synonymous with haute couture, known for their ultrafeminine and highly sculptured clothing that flatters the female form. The exhibition at Gleneagles showcased dresses from Christian Dior’s 1955 show, elegant and timeless pieces that anyone would desire. The Cruise 2025 collection, created by Italian creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri—the first woman appointed Head of Dior—was inspired by Mary Queen of Scots. She visited Scottish textile businesses like Harris Tweed and Johnstons of Elgin, blending Scottish fabrics with contracting materials and adding a twist of punk. Seeing the show in the stunning gardens of Drummond Castle was a privilege. Everything came together perfectly—even the Scottish weather was on our side!”
Brand Film Distribution
The final films were distributed via YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.
